Operation Fresh Start

Have you ever purchased cosmetics to get them home and discover they are not what you really wanted? Have you ever stayed in a hotel and only used 1 or 2 of the 6 samples? Have you ever received a free cosmetic sample that just was not right for you?

If you are anything like me then you probably have a drawer full of these unwanted new or gently used products. In my house they stay there for months and sometimes years until I finally throw them away. Imagine if every person in Canada threw away only 1 bath and body product each month; that would be 384 million bottles of chemicals needlessly thrown into our landfill sites each year, not to mention the damage done by the packaging. So I decided to do something about it!

I created an organization called “Fresh Start”. Fresh start is dedicated to reducing the chemicals in landfill sites by redirecting unwanted bath and body products. Our recipients include (but are not limited to) women and children’s centres, hostiles and homeless shelters and animal rescue organizations.

So the next time you are:
· staying in a hotel with samples
· buy the wrong color cosmetics
· get a free cosmetic gift you won’t use

Please contact me so I can arrange for pick up.

Labrador, Labrador & Labrador

Labrador is where I was born and raised. It is somewhere still very near and dear to my heart. I continue to travel home as much as I can. Other than visiting family and friends, I love to fish. Again, this summer as I meet more people around the maritimes, once they learn I am from Labrador, most ask about the fishing. Yes, it is true. The fishing is that good! When I speak to friends and family home, they talk highly of Dave Hollett's Park Lake Lodge. I will be continuing to add more information and links on here as the summer begins. In the meantime, please view this link for PARK LAKE LODGE.
